Hi everyone! My name's Tiffany, and I want to share with you my story of finding purpose and identity. Basically, I spent my whole life doing all the things I thought would make me happy - very much in search of creating the "perfect" life for myself.
What I later realized is that none of these things could truly satisfy me, and ultimately, they were unstable. That became very real to me when my world came crashing down: My husband left me for another woman.
During that time, I was completely broken and lost, but that's when I cried out to Jesus. I knew there was a God who saw me in my pain, knew me, and loved me.
God is the Creator of the universe. He created everything from the stars to the Earth to each and every person alive today. He knows and loves everyone that has ever existed, and His desire is for all of us to have a relationship with Him. That includes you!
We've all been through hard times. It's because we live in a sinful world - a world that has been broken by the things that people say and do that are wrong. My husband's actions are one example. But sin is anything that goes against God's will, and we have all sinned.
But I learned that God loved me so much that He sent His Son, Jesus, to die for me. When I was at my lowest, Jesus was there with me. It's because of Jesus' death and resurrection that I am now free from the burden of my hurt and sin. Let me share what Jesus did to heal the broken pieces of my heart.
About 2,000 years ago, Jesus, the Son of God, was born. He lived a sinless, perfect life and then was executed on a cross. This is the punishment we deserved for our sin, but Jesus paid that price for us. “God demonstrates His own love for us in that while we were yet sinners Christ died for us.” Because Jesus took our punishment, the gap that sin causes between us and God is closed. When we follow Jesus, we are seen as perfect in God’s eyes. We are completely forgiven.
There is more good news though. Jesus rose from the dead after three days! Death is no longer final. Jesus offers us the gift of eternal life – of living forever with Him in heaven if we accept Him as our Lord and Savior.
Jesus desires to have a relationship with you! No matter what you are experiencing or feeling right now, Jesus loves you and He is there with you. So, I want to encourage you to give your life to God. Turn away from sin, and just follow Him with all of your heart.
“Lord Jesus, I believe you are the Son of God. Thank you for dying on the cross for my sins. Please forgive my sins and give me the gift of eternal life. I ask you into my life and heart to be my Lord and Savior. I want to follow you.”
We would love to continue to encourage you in your faith in Christ!
